March marks the end of summer in Australia, but what is awesome about March is all of the Greek Food Festivals celebrating Greek Independence Day (the 25th) which commemorates the start of the Greek War of Independence against the Ottoman Empire in 1821. The first holiday that we ever took our son on was a camping holiday. We went out into the bush, slept in tents and cooked over wood fires. And now that’s all we hear about.
“Daddy, don’t go to work. Let’s go camping.”

Last weekend he started on about camping again and I had a devilishly good idea: what if I could simulate camping in the back yard?
